Holzweiler RTW Spring 2024

Camley Street Natural Park, the two-acre nature reserve in central London, was a fitting location for Holzweiler’s debut on the London Fashion Week schedule.

The Norwegian brand has made Copenhagen Fashion Week its fixed spot, but as the brand grows and marks its 10-year anniversary next year, it was time they experimented with another fashion week. But their focus remained the same, which is to always turn to Mother Earth.

“When we visited this special place for the first time and heard the birds singing and the bees buzzing, we felt immediately at home,” Maria Skappel-Holzweiler, creative director of the brand, said of the nature reserve.

The first look, a delicate nightie paired with jeans and a floral bralet, set the tone for the looks that followed where motifs of nature were dotted around the hems of denim; embroidered onto camp collar shirts, and stitched to dresses to give them a nonchalance.

The collection as a whole was commercially viable by offering the needs of a wardrobe, from basics and activewear to special occasion pieces.
